August 25 - September 3 -- Mark to China
Mark will be heading right back to China to attend our Shanghai team's "Thanksgiving" Celebration, and possibly to help check out Nanchang with them.
September 6 -- Labor Day (USA)
Praise the Lord for diligent and hardworking family members who by God's grace have provided so much for each one of us.
September 7 -- (Home-)School Restarts
Possibly for Joshua, Micah, Daniel, David. But with all the traveling we'll be doing, it may not happen according to schedule! But everyone else will have to start back to school.
September 22 -- Mid-Autumn Festival (Hong Kong)
A full moon, paper Chinese lanterns, mooncakes, and an anniversary of Mark & Rachel's engagement 10 years before. (Actually, the next day is a public holiday, since everyone was up so late admiring the moon on this night.)

October 1 -- National Day (China/Hong Kong)
Celebrating the establishment of the People's Republic of China!
October 8-9 -- Missions Fest Seattle
Mark will represent TEL at Missions Fest Seattle, looking mainly for potential recruits. He'll travel with the whole family, and visit with family, friends and supporters around the festival. Admission is free, so you're certainly welcome to visit our booth!
October 11 -- Columbus Day (USA)
And the discovery of the Americas.
October 16 -- Chung Yeung Festival (Hong Kong)
A day to clean graves and burn sacrifices and incense to ancestors.

Sunday (9:30-10:30 am) -- Timothy Principle Discipleship Sunday School Class
Mark is teaching through the basics of discipleship (getting into the Word, Prayer, Witnessing, walking in obedience and fellowship) at Living Word Baptist Church. The class is based on Roy Robertson's book, The Timothy Principle.
Thursday (6:30-8:30 pm) -- GFI Parenting Course
We're facilitating this video course on parenting 3-12 year-olds, a much-needed review for us, but first-time for the two families joining us.
Thursday (9:00 pm) -- China Ministry Updates
Mark is again taking an hour a week to keep up with things in Shanghai.
Friday (4:00 pm) -- China Ministry Updates
Mark and Liu Tong (in Hong Kong) "meet" by phone, and talk through issues that God uses to develop Tong as an ever-maturing disciple.
Friday (6:30-9:30 pm) -- UNT International Fellowship
Mark is again involved with an international fellowship, this time at the University of North Texas. He's been encouraged by the number of Chinese--and they've been excited to find a non-Chinese speaker of Chinese, though there are others at the fellowship as well. We hope to have more and more of these international students to our home for deeper discussions and relationship-building.
